CAD Annotations & Comments
Â
Review CAD designs without relying on screenshots. CAD ROOMS lets you attach annotations directly to 3D models, keeping design feedback connected to the relevant location and viewing context. This video shows how to review annotations, discuss changes with @mentions and file attachments, and resolve feedback once it has been addressed.

How to Annotate 3D CAD Models
- Add an annotation. Open a CAD file in the CAD ROOMS Viewer and add an annotation to a specific location on the 3D model.
- Preserve the view context. Keep the annotation associated with its 3D view so teammates can understand exactly what the feedback refers to.
- Discuss design feedback. Reply to comments, @mention teammates, and attach supporting files to annotation discussions.
- Review annotations. Browse existing annotations to follow design discussions and identify feedback that still needs attention.
- Resolve completed discussions. Mark annotations as resolved once the feedback has been addressed.
