Creating a Workspace


🔍 What Is a Workspace?


A Workspace is the central hub in CAD ROOMS where your team collaborates on projects, manages files, and controls billing. Creating a workspace is the first step to getting started.

Each workspace is an isolated space that includes:
Projects – Manage your CAD files and development work in one place
Team Members – Collaborate with others, with role-based access control
Files & Revisions – Store and track CAD files, documents, and version history
ECOs – Review and provide feedback directly on ECOs.
Workspaces ensure clarity, security, and efficiency in every stage of the design-to-production lifecycle.

➕ How to Create a New Workspace

To set up a new workspace:
  1. Start the Workspace Setup
      • Log in to CAD ROOMS.
      • If you don’t already belong to a workspace, you’ll be prompted to create one.
      💡
      Tip: If you already have a workspace, you can still create another one by clicking the Workspace Switcher icon (usually in the top-left corner) and selecting Create New Workspace.
  1. Enter Workspace Details
      • Fill in the Workspace Name (required)、Team Size and Industry.
      • You won’t be able to continue until a valid name is entered.
  1. Add Payment Information
      • Provide complete payment details to unlock the free trial.
  • Choose a Plan
    • Select Currency (e.g., USD, EUR).
    • Decide on a Billing Period (monthly or annual).
    • Adjust the number of Seats.
  • Start Your Free Trial
    • Once all required fields are completed, click Start Free Trial.
Once your workspace is ready, you can now begin:
  • Inviting members
  • Creating projects
  • Uploading and managing files

Switch Between Workspaces

If you're part of multiple workspaces (e.g., personal, company, clients):
  • Click the Workspace Switcher Icon.
  • Select the workspace you want to switch to.
Please Note:Each workspace has its own projects, members, and permissions.

Adjust Workspace Settings

Under Workspace Settings, you can:
  • Owner/Admin can change the workspace name and icon
  • Upgrade/Change Plan
  • Set up default permissions
  • Review usage and storage limits
  • Adjust seat limits and update billing details.
  • Configure integrations (coming soon)
